Transportation While all transportation and all related costs, including insurance, are the responsibility of the owner/agent, Deller Conservation can meet certain transportation needs which will be invoiced at the hourly rate of $150.00 per conservator/technician, plus expenses.Documentation Full documentation is a necessary aspect of conservation and is available from Deller Conservation. This documentation includes the following reports: Condition Reports; Treatment Proposals; Treatment Reports. along with photographic images of pre-treatment, during treatment and post-treatment The costs for these reports are billed at the regular hourly rate of $150.00 Treatments All treatments performed in our lab will be billed at the regular hourly rate of $150.00 plus materials. All on-site treatments will be invoiced at the hourly $150.00 rate, per conservator, plus any expense related to travel and lodging. There is a Minimum of One Hour Charge per Object Insurance While the object is on the firm's premises, Deller Conservation will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of the object. However, because many works of art are chemically unstable and/or physically unsound, all objects forwarded to Deller Conservation either for examination or treatment, are at the sole risk of the owner/agent at all times. Billing Procedures Once an object has been accepted for treatment, a deposit of up to 50% may be required before any treatment may begin. A periodic request for additional payments may also be required for larger and prolonged treatments. Full payment of any balances will be due upon completion of the treatment. Storage fees will be added at $5.00 per day per object left on the firm's premises after completion, unless prior arrangements have been made. Estimates Due to the nature of art and artifact conservation, all estimates are established once the object has been examined, and may not include costs for damage not apparent during the initial examination for the estimate. Examples of such damage includes, but is not limited to, insect infestation, silicon contamination, and/or previous repairs that are of substandard quality. In the event of hidden or unexpected damage requiring additional treatment, the client will be consulted and advised of any additional costs. |
