Insurance

While the object is on the firm's premises, Deller Conservation will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of the object. However, because many works of art are chemically unstable and/or physically unsound, all objects forwarded to Deller Conservation either for examination or treatment, are at the sole risk of the owner/agent at all times.

Billing Procedures

Once an object has been accepted for treatment, a deposit of up to 50% may be required before any treatment may begin. A periodic request for additional payments may also be required for larger and prolonged treatments.

Full payment of any balances will be due upon completion of the treatment.
Storage fees will be added at $5.00 per day per object left on the firm's premises after completion, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Estimates

Due to the nature of art and artifact conservation, all estimates are established once the object has been examined, and may not include costs for damage not apparent during the initial examination for the estimate. Examples of such damage includes, but is not limited to, insect infestation, silicon contamination, and/or previous repairs that are of substandard quality.

In the event of hidden or unexpected damage requiring additional treatment, the client will be consulted and advised of any additional costs.
